The Master Plan is a comprehensive study of the Airport and describes short -, medium- , and long -term development plans to meet future aviation needs. ITEM BACKGROUND: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires airports to update their master plans every five to 10 years. The last master plan update for EYW was completed in 2003. Three (3) technical review committee meetings were held on the master plan update, followed by three public hearings on November 1, 2016, January 19, 2018, and June 14, 2018. Upon BOCC approval, the updated Master Plan will be sent to the FAA for approval and subsequent implementation. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: none.
