This * 3f )( A channel is very shallow and destined soon to be colonized by the man - X N 6K� ** grove and cause the islet to !use its identity in consolidation with Man Ii It i <f I `rf Key. The key is now about 230014e feet, and in the neighborhood wit X 4-i X ff. of 3 feet at its highest point. Like Bird Key, this islet has no abrupt 3E f re { t r I shore, being more or kw rounded in topographic contour with the [ r )' t `!./. strand everywhere at a gentle slope. y1 A i 17 tY I Its vegetation presents the odd condition of having its mangroves I' irTI i 1' , , and Avicennias disposed at the farthest points they could possibly ti� t• Y t \ grow apart, instead of being, as canal, in association. This condition t t •1 y i 6 � is repeated in the two colonies of Uttida and Eapk edict, one on the • 1 t v[� i• t \\ `t I east and the other on the south strand, though there are two associated tit t t f l�� I I Ii groups of these elements on the other two shores — northwest and t •t • t Y I l southeast I / r y • i tl { t9 t tr -1 �I l 1 I I ld Id The two floes of Bath and Sa /irarata appear to be forming their i{ t • � fi t I T I T ! At the north point appears iO i Y � a peculiar continuous line of Arosia which apparently indicates that a Y the strand at this end of the islet is in process of formation from the sea.
