RESOLUTION NO.lOl -1997
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA RATIFYING CERTAIN EXPENDITURES
MADE BY THE RECYCLING DEPARTMENT WITHOUT THE PRIOR
AUTHORITY OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
WHEREAS, the Recycling Department engaged one Eileen Pryel of Coral Gables, Florida, to
produce, broadcast and print recycling advertisements without going out for bid and without
prior authorization of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Recycling Department purchased media time and space without the prior
authorization of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the expenditures did serve a public purpose, were in conformity with state
grants, and the County did receive value for the expenditures; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA that
Section 1.
The expenditures made by the Recycling Department to employ the
producer of the recycling advertisements in broadcast and print media, and the purchase of
print space and broadcast time, through February 28, 1997, are hereby ratified and approved as
if such approval had been properly given before such expenditures were made.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
at a regular meeting of the Board held on the 19t~ay of March
