2" Annual Florida Keys Day — March 29, 2011 — Tallahassee, Florida
WHEREAS, the primary goal of the Annual Florida Keys Day is to inform all of

value and contributions to the state as a whole, and the significant problems they are
facing that require the help of the Legislature to address; and,
WHEREAS, the Keys are one of t he State's major tourist destinations and as a
result are a net contributor to state sales tax revenues, tourist development taxes, and gas
tax revenues; and
WHEREAS, the Keys are also a major net contributor of education tax revenues
to the state due to the extremely high market value of limited developable property and
the relatively low number of school age children; and

to upgrade its wastewater treatment systems to state of the art Advanced Wastewater

partnership building day with a broad range of stake holders promoting supportive policy
at the state level; and
WHEREAS, the 2nd Annual Florida Keys Day is a leadership action day!
