Scope of the Work
The Scope of Work includes,but is not limited to,all work described in the Solicitation for the
Gato Building Mold Remediation.
Contractor will be required to:

Condensation has damaged the sheetrock In the women washroom ceNMg(approximately 4
Square feet)this should be removed and the area cleaned with Enzy Magic, contractor shall
locate the source of the moisture and correct.
Water stains observed in Human Resources Manager office,source of water should be located
and corrected.
Water damage was observed in the Health Department Business office.Remove wet carpet and
treat the area with Biodegradable mold cleaner such as Enzy Magic.
For HVAC Professionals
Install Dielectric Barrier ionizers(DBQ to control moll on books, bacteria and VOCs. These
DBIs should be rated so that they are able to treat air and surfaces throughout the library space.
Install Mold treated filters In all air handlers that accept 9 Inch thick fUters. These will help keep
mold under control and the HVAC system clean. MERV 7, no blow by, 3 month, metal interior
frame filters are recommended.
Evaluate and clean the ducts and the HVAC system following NADCA guidelines. Wherever
leaks or moisture are observed In the ducts, they should be repaired and then cleaned with a

Re: Gato Building Mold Remediation
The scope of work for the mold remediation project neglected to include item 3 of the hygienist's
scope of work. This was discovered at clearance testing at the end of the project, which the
contractor completed and secured clearance to proceed with repairs as soon as possible. The
additional work for item 3 to perform mold remediation in the Department of Health's Womens
Washroom is being requested as change order#1 in the amount of$4,100.0&
