Cody Moeller Write up
Cody Moeller began work in the Lower Keys Road Department as a Maintenance Worker 4 in
April, 2017. He quickly distinguished himself as a dependable, hardworking member of the
team, and was promoted to Maintenance Worker 5 in December 2017.
After Hurricane Irma Cody worked tirelessly to clean up county roads and took on the additional
responsibility of assisting Lower Keys Sign Technician Jim Crane with repairing and replacing
1,726 street signs in the Lower Keys.
Jim Crane
installations, as well as fabrication; he has been an exceptionally eager and very astute learner.
While continuing with his regular duties operating heavy equipment for the Road Department he
International Municipal Signal Association course and obtained his official certification as an
IMSA Public Safety Signs and Markings Technician Level I. Working alongside Cody I am
awestruck at how expeditiously he has been learning the trade despite the physical requirements
of the Hurricane Irma daily routine. He often expresses his gratitude and satisfaction for being
an employee of our agency and says that his role as a Public Servant gives him a great sense of
pride. Additionally, residents and co-workers have expressed praise a number of times regarding
a worthy candidate for employee of the quarter.
