01/10/2001 Fiinal Meeting Cont'd MINUTES OF THE MONROE COUNTY VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD Value Adjustment Board Continuation of Final Hearing Harvey Government Center Wednesday, January 10, 2001 The Continuation of the Final Hearing of the Monroe County Value Adjustment Board convened at 10:00 a.m., on the above date, at Harvey Government Center at Historic Truman School. Present were Commissioner Dixie Spehar, Commissioner Nora Williams and Monroe County School Board Member Anne Cohan. Also present were Pamela Hancock, Deputy Clerk; Ervin A. Higgs, Property Appraiser; and James T. Hendrick, County Attorney. School Board Member Cohan announced that School Board Member Quinn would not be attending the Hearing, and that School Board Member Pat Labrada may attend in her place if he felt up to it. She also informed the Board that Mayor George Neugent would be running a little late. Motion was made by Commissioner Spehar and seconded by Commissioner Williams granting approval of the Minutes of the December 18, 2000 Final Hearing of the Value Adjustment Board. Motion carried unanimously with Mayor Neugent not present. Motion was made by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Commissioner Spehar to uphold the Special Master's Recommendations regarding Petition No. 054-2000 Kenneth Vance. Motion carried unanimously with Mayor Neugent not present. The following individuals addressed the Board concerning Petition No. 153-2000 Parcel L Island Development Corporation: John Dent, Attorney for the Property Appraiser; Dominic Messari, representing owner; and James Hendrick, Attorney for the Value Adjustment Board. Mayor Neugent arrived at the hearing. Thomas Wright, Special Master for the Value Adjustment Board addressed the Board. After discussion, motion was made by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Mayor Neugent to uphold the Special Master's Recommendations. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Commissioner Spehar granting approval of the Certification of the Tax Roll. Motion carried unanimously.
