A meeting of the Property Appraisal Adjustment Board convened
at 9 : 00 a.m. on the above date in the Grand Jury Room and shortly
thereafter was relocated to Courtroom "B" , 4th Floor of the Monroe
Courthouse Annex. Present and answering roll call were
Commissioner Earl Cheal, Commissioner John Stormont, Chairman Jack
London, and School Board Representative Clarence Phillips. Absent
from the meeting was School Board Representative Paula Wolgast.
Special Master James A. Flenner, Special Master Bill Pitt, Special
Master Richard Padron, and Special Master Raymond Bishop were also
present as well as Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk, Isabel C. DeSantis,
Deputy Clerk, Assistant County Attorney , Ervin
Higgs, Property Appraiser, and County Staff from the Property
Appraiser ' s Office.
Motion was made by Commissioner Stormont and seconded by Board
Member Clarence Phillips to accept Special Master' s recommendation
of denial on Homestead Petitions because Petitioners did not show
at Special Master ' s Hearing of the following:

Motion failed for lack of a second.

seconded by Cheal . Roll call vote was taken with the following

Mr. John Dent of the Property Appraiser' s Office advised the
Board of the filing of litigation of the above Petition by their
representing attorney.
029-1991 OCEAN WALK
John Dent advised the Board of the acquiesence to the figure
of $14,427, 172 which was agreed to by the Petitioner and the
Property Appraiser. Motion was then made by Commissioner Cheal and
seconded by Commissioner Phillips to accept the joint decision by
the Petitioner and the Property Appraiser.
Motion carried unanimously.
Special Master Raymond Bishop addressed the Board regarding a
letter submitted to the Board.
Motion was made by Commissioner Cheal and Seconded by
Commissioner Phillips to accept the Certification of the Tax Roll
of Real Property in the amount of $6, 131, 045,869.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Commissioner Cheal and seconded by
Commissioner Stormont to accept the Certification of the Tax Roll
of Tangible Property in the amount of $305, 062, 159 .
Motion carried unanimously.
