10 A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
11 COMMISSIONERS WAIVING APPROXIMATELY $6,062.80 IN
12 BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR ONE DEED-RESTRICTED HOUSING
13 UNIT SERVING THE 100% OF MEDIAN INCOME LEVEL CATEGORY,
14 TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON A PARCEL LOCATED AT 24 HIBISCUS
15 LANE ON KEY LARGO, AT APPROXIMATE MILE MARKER 101,
16 HAVING REAL ESTATE NUMBER 00507870-000000.

18 WHEREAS,on November 18,2009 the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
19 ("Board") passed and adopted Ordinance 036-2009, allowing building permit fee waivers for
20 entities building low income housing leveraging state or federal funds, or affordable housing as
21 defined by state statutes; and
22 WHEREAS, on February 10, 2010,the Board passed and adopted Ordinance 004-2010,
23 allowing waivers for housing for households up to 120% of median income in Monroe County.
24 Housing exceeding 120% may also apply for a waiver if the specific project for development is
25 being subsidized with or is leveraging state or federal funding;and
26 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys, Inc. submitted the Application for
27 Building Permit Fee Waiver on March 20`h,2019;and
28 WHEREAS, Monroe County Code Section 6-108(e) allows the Board approval for
29 waivers of building permit fees for affordable housing which have a Development Order in effect.
30 The Applicant of Record is requesting a building permit fee waiver to construct one affordable
31 housing units on Key Largo as follows:

35 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
36 COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,FLORIDA,THAT:

1 The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated as if fully stated
2 herein;and
3 Building permit fees are waived pursuant to Monroe County Code Section 6-108(e)for the
4 subject parcel with the permit application described herein. The required Affordable Housing
5 Deed Restriction accepted and/or approved by both the Senior Director of Planning &
6 Environmental Services and the Office of the County Attorney was filed and recorded in the Public
7 Records of Monroe County, Florida as Doc# 2206912 in Bk# 2949 on Pg# 1110-1119 and
8 evidence thereof provided to the Building Department.
9 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
10 Florida,at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of April ,2019.
