See attached exhibit B. These improvements will be located at the Key West International Airport in Key West, Florida. All -19 design work shall comply with the Florida Building Code 2017. M Jacobs will also provide an architectural rendering of the terminal expansion project. This will be an exterior view rendered at an eye level perspective from the curbside. EXISTING CONDITIONS 06 The current departure hall gift shop shall remain.The exterior area that will be impacted by the addition includes an exterior planter,rain water leader,art wall,sidewalk,exterior CMU wall and storefront system. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The data collection,design, and construction support services will include: LO era Ir- cv Article A—Data Collection Ir- U) Field Verification: Visit and inspect the site (1 visit) to determine if existing conditions match 0 construction documents of the terminal complex. Take photographs and make written documentation, sketches, notes or reports to confirm and record the general conditions of the existing facility and site. Within this initial phase we will review all applicable requirements. Initial Meeting: Conduct a meeting with representatives from Monroe County and the design A/E team to include architect, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer and structural engineer. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the project features, existing conditions and review submittal requirements with the design team,and answer questions developed by the Jacobs team. Data Collection phase will also include: • Review available record drawings • Perform a site investigation Services for Article A will be provided under a lump sum basis. Page 1 of 4 Packet Pg. 237 C.8.a Article B—90%Design The specific tasks Jacobs will perform are as follows: After the site visit and data collection phase Jacobs shall prepare the 90% Construction Documents setting forth in detail the requirements for the construction of the project. During this work phase, we will prepare all required construction documents for permit and construction of the building. We will provide detailing for the completion of the building. This work effort will include architectural,structural, mechanical (Plumbing and HVAC)and electrical plans. Documents shall be revised to include the following for the additional scope of work: LO • Life-safety plans to show exit strategy,rated doors,emergency wall openings and ramps. LO Fire extinguishers,emergency lighting,exit signs, smoke and fire dampers, and other life v safety-equipment relevant to the facility shall be indicated by symbol. • Floor plans including: All dimensions and any target notes explaining the extent of work, wall types,or other component,assembly or direction regarding the construction for the new scope. U) • Reflected ceiling plans. • Room finish plans. • Exterior elevations showing location of the rain water leaders, openings and light fixtures. .� • Interior elevations showing revised restroom,pet relief area and additional departures lounge elevations. • Building and wall sections to establish vertical controls and construction types for the 06 Proj ect. • Interior signage to include room identification,emergency exiting and equipment signs, 0 and any other items pertinent to the identification of the project. • Room finish schedule coordinated with the floor plans. • Structural Engineering foundation plans,structural schedules and details. • Structural analysis and calculations. • Fire Protection Engineering: Detail of Fire Protection(suppression and fire alarm)design. cis • Mechanical Engineering: Detail of HVAC system to communicate the design intent and LO coordination with other disciplines. We will finalize the construction documents and incorporate final owner comments from the 90% review. The construction documents will include signed and sealed architectural, structural, mechanical (Plumbing and HVAC) and electrical plans. QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSUMPTIONS For the purpose of providing a stipulated fee amount, this proposal has been based on the following qualifications and assumptions: Page 3 of 4 Packet Pg. 239 C.8.a • Design shall be based on previously approved planning / schematic design documents attached. See attached exhibit B. • Proposal is based on the existing electrical systems having adequate capacity to properly serve the renovation and addition.No major modifications to the existing electrical systems are included in this proposal. • Services do not include"design to cost".Jacobs will assist the owner in evaluating and offering cost reduction strategies as requested by client. The "design to cost" is basically noting that if Jacobs receives direction from the client or one of its sub-consultants on how to design the project and if any changes are required due to the project being over budget,then the re-design required to bring the project back within budget is not a part of the lump sum fee `? LO and shall be treated as additional services. cv • Any cost estimates provided by Consultant will be on a basis of experience and judgment. Since Consultant has no control over market conditions or bidding procedures, Consultant does not warrant that bids or ultimate 0 construction costs will not vary from these cost estimates. -19 19 • Construction Administration services are not included. iM • Any Services not described in the scope of work are not included.
