The pain never goes away and the void left in their lives cannot be filled. It is important that these families know they are supported and their missing children are not forgotten. Each year, the Florida Missing Children's Day's ceremony brings together state officials, law enforcement officers, educators, and citizens from around Florida to surround the families of missing children, offering them support, remembrance, and hope. LO Florida Missing Children's Day also provides an opportunity to recognize exceptional first responders, citizens, and school employees who work to protect our state's children, as well as C brave young heroes who acted courageously in the face of abduction. A child identification and safety fair is held before the ceremony, with canine tracking bloodhounds from the Jimmy Ryce Center greeting attendees. The ceremony and the safety fair are an integral component of Florida's ongoing efforts to raise awareness and educate the public about missing person issues. LO As we prepare for the 2019 Florida Missing Children's Day on Monday, September 9th, the Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation needs your support. The effort to remember Florida's missing children and comfort their families can only happen through the generosity of C donors to the Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation. The 501(c)(3) organization was created pursuant to Section 683.231, Florida Statutes, in direct support of Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Missing and Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board and with the primary mission of providing the basis for the financial support needed to stage the annual ceremony in Tallahassee. Because the ceremony and its events support the promotion and education of public awareness safety, Florida county and municipal law enforcement agencies have the unique opportunity to assist Florida Missing Children's Day by donating asset forfeiture funds pursuant to Section 932.7055, Florida Statutes. The included information provides sponsorship opportunities to allow you to show your support of the missing and their families. Please see the attached form for sponsorship opportunities and consider becoming a part of this very special annual event. Any funds received after this year's Florida Missing Children's Day (September 9, 2019) will be used for the 2020 event. Sincerely, f / Kenneth S.
