Resolution 199-2019 • 2 3 _ ` 4 5 6 MONROE COUNTY,FLORIDA 7 MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 8 RESOLUTION NO. 199 -2019 9 10 A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY 11 COMMISSIONERS WAIVING APPROXIMATELY $172,896 IN 12 BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR A TOTAL OF 25 DEED-RESTRICTED 13 HOUSING UNITS OF SERVING HOUSEHOLDS AT 80% OF AREA 14 MEDIAN INCOME, TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON PARCELS LOCATED 15 AT 31535 AVENUE C ON BIG PINE KEY, AT 31 S. CONCH AND 2 N. 16 CONCH AVENUE ON CONCH KEY, AND ON ATLANTIC BOULEVARD 17 ON KEY LARGO AT APPROXIMATE MILE MARKER 99.5, HAVING 18 REAL ESTATE NUMBERS 00302670-000000, 00385780-000400, 00385780- 19 000000,AND 00453440-001100. 20 21 WHEREAS,on November 18,2009 the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners 22 ("Board") passed and adopted Ordinance 036-2009, allowing building permit fee waivers for 23 entities building low income housing leveraging state or federal funds, or affordable housing as 24 defined by state statutes; and 25 WHEREAS, on February 10, 2010, the Board passed and adopted Ordinance 004-2010, 26 allowing Waivers for housing for households up to 120% of median income in Monroe County. 27 Housing exceeding 120%may also apply for a waiver if the specific project for development is 28 being subsidized with or is leveraging state or federal funding; and 29 WHEREAS, on June 25, 2019 the Monroe County .BOCC, as Contract Option Holder, 30 submitted the Application for Building Permit Fee Waiver.The legislative intent of this Resolution 31 is that the instant waiver shall apply to the building permit applicant of record; and 32 WHEREAS, Monroe County Code Section 6-108(e) allows the Board approval for 33 waivers of building permit fees for affordable housing which have a Development Order in effect. 34 The Applicant of Record is requesting building permit fee waivers to construct 25 affordable 35 housing units on Big Pine Key (BPK), Conch Key (CK) and on Key Largo (KL) as follows: 36 37 Page 1 of2 38 Address Real Estate Number # of Units Bed/Bath % of Median 39 31535 Avenue C,BPK 00302670-000000 10 1/1 80 40 31 S.
