RESOLUTION NO. 085-1998
A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS TRANSMITTING TO THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR REVIEW
AND COMMENT PROPOSED CHANGES TO POLICIES
601.1.7 AND 601.1.11 OF THE MONROE COUNTY YEAR
2010 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN RELATED TO ELIGIBILITY
FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING INCENTIVES AND
MAINTAINING HOUSING WHICH HAS RECEIVED
COUNTY INCENTIVES AS AFFORDABLE.
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing
for the purpose of considering the transmittal to the Florida Department of Community
Affairs for review and comment proposed amendments to the Monroe County Year 2010
Comprehensive Plan to change Policies 601.1.7 and 601,1.11 related to eligibility for
affordable housing incentives and maintaining housing which has received County
incentives as affordable; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Planning Commission, sitting as the local
planning agency, after due notice and public participation in the public hearing process,
has recommended approval of the proposed comprehensive plan amendments; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT:
Section I, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby adopt the recolllp1endatiws -'1
of the Planning Commission pursuant to the draft ordinance for adoption of tIii proposed ,-

Section 2. The Board of County Commissioners does hereby transmit the pr~d N .,3
amendments as part of the first set of comprehensive plan amendments for 192(;q::ihe::> ~
Florida Department of Community Affairs for review and comment in accord81i.c-e~itli2 ('"')
the provisions of Chapter 163.3184, Florida Statutes; and ~ ~~ ~ ~
Section 3. The Monroe County staff is given authority to prepare and submit the required
transmittal letter and supporting documents for the proposed amendment in accordance
with the requirements of the 9J-l1.006 of the Florida Administrative Code; and
Section 4, The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Director of Planning,
