PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA ITEM WORDING: A Public Hearing to consider Approval of Resolution adopting the final Residential Solid Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling non ad valorem special assessment rates for fiscal year 2019/2020 ITEM BACKGROUND: The annual residential non-ad valorem special assessment for fiscal year 2019/2020 is set at $402.00 per residence ($194.00 for Collection of Residential Solid Waste; $156.00 for Disposal of Residential Solid Waste; and $52.00 for Recycling of Residential Solid Waste). It is an increase from last year's rate of$394.00 for fiscal year 2018/2019. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The BOCC approved: Resolution No. 120-2017 adopting the tentative Residential Solid Waste Special Assessment rates for fiscal Year(FY) 2017-2018 at its May loth, 2017 budget meeting. U) All affected property owners have a right to appear at the hearing and to file written objections with the County Commission within 20 calendar days of the date of this notice. The maximum rate of assessment that can be imposed in the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2019 and future fiscal years shall be $402.00 per residential dwelling unit.
