reviewed by the County Administrator/Assistant Administrator.
ITEM BACKGROUND: There were seven change orders considered and approved by the County
Administrator/Assistant Administrator during the month of August. The total cost of these change
orders is $56,665.22.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On September 9, 1998, Ordinance No 027-1998 was
adopted in order to provide that the County Administrator may approve separate, non-cumulative
change orders for construction projects and professional service contracts in amounts not to exceed
$50,000 (as amended per Ordinance No. 024-2015), or 5% of the original contract price, whichever
is greater. The BOCC requested a monthly report of all change orders considered by the county
Administrator.

Regarding the Marathon Annex building

During our inspection of the roof, we discovered the roof slopes inward by 1 1/2 inches in the center. In order
for us to meet code on this roof, we will need to fill that area in with additional ISO filler board, which intern
will require additional layers to be added to the rest of the roof to ensure we meet the 1/8"/ft code
requirements per plans. The additional cost for this will be $27,845.00.
We would like to also request an extension to be put in place for September 13, 2019, this date is needed due 20
to previous and projected rain in the extended forecast. Please advise with approval so that we may proceed. w
