AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Response to the Board on questions raised at the October 16, 2019
BOCC meeting about the District I Advisory Committees decision not to advertise for a 2nd Round
of FY 2020 Capital Funding Applications.
ITEM BACKGROUND: During the October 16, 2019 BOCC meeting, the Commission requested
information on why the District I Advisory Committee decided not to advertise for a 2nd round of FY
2020 Capital Project Funding Applications.
Attached is an excerpt from the June 26, 2019 DAC I Meeting minutes explaining why the DAC did
not go out for a 2nd round of applications.
The DAC has $1,505,229 available in Capital Resources (less any dollars that would be allocated for
additional beach cleaning)
A TDC staff member will be present during the November BOCC meeting should the
Commissioners have any further questions.

Consideration and Action re: FY 2020 2nd Round Capital Project Funding: Ms. Pacini
stated that the DAC may go out for a 2nd Round of FY 2020 Capital Project Funding
Applications with the remaining funds in FY 2020 Capital Resources. She outlined the
schedule that would be followed if the DAC approved advertising a 2nd round of
applications.*
Ms. Works moved approval not to advertise a 2nd Round of FY 2020 Capital Project
Funding, Mr. Galvan seconded. Motion passed with Mr. Robbins opposed.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5.06 p.m.

allow for that much more to be available in FY 2021(Capital Resources)"
