ITEM BACKGROUND:
Spay and Neuter In Paradise (SNIP)was founded in 2012 to prevent uncontrolled populations of
domestic and feral animals in the Florida Keys. There is high demand for the spaying and neutering
of cats and dogs, whether rescued, abandoned, or feral. They have performed 6,141 surgeries to date,
including 2, 616 dogs, 3,487 cats and 38 rabbits. These surgeries were performed with a combination
of funds through donations and grants.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA IN RECOGNITION OF VOLUNTEER
WORK PERFORMED BY SNIP—SPAY AND NEUTER IN PARADISE,
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Spay and Neuter in Paradise (SNIP) was founded in 2012 to prevent uncontrolled
populations of domestic and feral animals in the Florida Keys; and
WHEREAS, SNIP's volunteers have remained committed to providing spay and neuter services; and
WHEREAS, there is high demand for the spaying and neutering of these animals, whether rescued, E

FLORIDA: The Board hereby expresses its recognition and gratitude for Spay and Neuter In Paradise.
