KEY WEST,FLORIDA
In accordance with the Consultant Agreement for Professional Architectural and Engineering
Services, made and entered into on the 2151 day of January, 2015, and as amended on the 18'h day
of January, 2017, between MONROE COUNTY, hereinafter referred to as the "County," and
BENDER & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, P.A., hereinafter referred to as "Consultant,"
where professional services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed Two Million and
00/100 ($2,000,000.00) Dollars, or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each
individual study under the contract does not exceed Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100
($200,000.00)Dollars, (hereinafter referred to as the"Agreement").
All terms and conditions of the referenced Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless this Task
Order amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the Agreement of which will be
specifically referenced in this Task Order and the amendment, addition, or modification shall be
precisely described.These additions apply only to the project referenced in this Task Order.
This Task Order is effective oil the_ day of k 201 g.
1. In accordance with Article I1, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES, of the Professional
Architectural and Engineering Services Agreement, the Consultant will perform services
as described below:
a. Consultant shall Design for the County a Structural Engineered Kiosk Sign that
will be used at various Monroe County parks and boat ramps. These signs will
function to educate boaters to the fragile local eco-system of the Florida Keys.
The signs will provide information on the hazards that can be avoided and
valuable information necessary to protect the wildlife and natural resources in the
area. Consultant will design and provide all required documents necessary to
construct a sign that will meet the current Florida Building Code (FBC)
requirements for wind load and the needs of Monroe County. The sign will be
designed with a weatherproof, removable face or panel to hold relevant
information and will be able to have new or updated information or images added
as needed. Additionally, weatherproof dispensable brochures and/or information
holders, will be incorporated into the design structure to hold materials for
distribution to visitors.
2. In accordance with Article VII, paragraph 7.1.1, the County shall pay the Consultant a
lump sum fee of Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred and 00/100 ($13,400.00) Dollars paid
on percent complete basis for the following phases:
a. Assessment & Design — Consisting of one client meeting to review the Design
prior to proceeding with construction documents.
b. Construction Documents—Consisting of drawings and specifications setting forth
in detail for the Construction drawings for the new Monroe County Boater Kiosks
Sign project, with the review and approval by the Director of Project
Management.
All other Terms and Conditions of the Task Order shall remain in accordance with the
Agreement dated January 21,2015,and as amended on January 18, 2017.
