Resolution 126-1998 Planning Department BOCC RESOLUTION NO.126 -1998 A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TRANSMITTING TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFF AIRS FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO POLICIES 101.4.1 101.4,2, 101.4.3, AND 101.4.4 OF THE MONROE COUNTY YEAR 2010 COMRPEHENSIVE PLAN TO ALLOW CERTAIN LA WFULL Y EXISTING NONRESIDENTIAL USES IN RESIDENTIAL FUTURE LAND USE CATEGORIES, 3. 0 o ~ $(")2: c>r-~ ~ ("')' r- 0("')' <=30': %.. 0 -tC")r- -<.....:3: .. . :P'" "'" C> r- rn 'P' ..." r= fTl o ..." o :XJ ~ ::0 -- ft'\ - ("') -:: 0 c :::0 cp 0 = ::IC ~ f"3 ...a WHEREAS, the Monroe County Planning Department has initiated an amend- ment to the Monroe County Year 2010 Comprehensive Plan (Plan) to allow certain ex- isting nonresidential uses in residential future land use categories in order to encourage redevelopment of such uses in accordance with the Plan; and WHEREAS, the Monroe County Planning Commission, at a regular meeting held on February 4, 1998 and after due notice and public participation in the public hearing process, has recommended approval of the proposed amendment; and WHEREAS, the Monroe County Commission concurs with the judgment made by the Planning Commission as set forth in resolution #P21-l998; and WHEREAS, at a regular meeting on March 11, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, after due notice and public participation in the pub- lic hearing process, conducted a public hearing to consider the transmittal of the pro- posed amendment to the Florida Department of Community Affairs for review and comment; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT: Section 1, The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners does hereby adopt the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set forth in Resolution P21-98; and Grandfathering Amendment 02/24/98 Page I of2 Initials Section 2, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby transmit the proposed amendment as part of the first (1 st) set of comprehensive plan amendments for 1998 to the Florida Department of Community Affairs for review and comment in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 163.3184, Florida Statutes; and Section 3, The Monroe County staff is given the authority to prepare and submit the required transmittal letter and supporting documents for the proposed amendment in accordance with the requirements of 9J-ll.006 of the Florida Administrative Code; and Section 4, The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Director of Planning.
