If you refer to 2/A1.01, the concrete base of the bollards is shown to be 2' x 2'. This will
interfere with the grade beam. The grade beam extends 10" from the face of the wall. The steel
bollard is shown 9" from the face of the wall. Please advise.

Joe,
The bollards on the interior are not a code requirement. They are there for protecting the wall.
Thanks,

Joe,
I spoke with the client yesterday about this and he is fine removing the interior bollards assuming they are not required
by building code.
Thanks,
John

I'm currently away from my laptop, so I'm not certain what part of our email thread I'm responding to. With respect to
your comments earlier removing bollards by first checking with the client - would removal of the interior bollards pose a
code issue? Or is this merely a safety aspect? Please advise, as this will provide the client with what they require to
proceed.
Thank you.

Joe,
We would like to keep the exterior bollard detail as is. The bollards could be moved a few inches away
from the building to allow for the pouring of the foundation against the grade beam.

The bollard detail asit stands is great for the exterior application. Did the GC price up deep foundation
bollard detail in the building?

Drawing S4.03 shows a concrete ribbon beam around the perimeter of the hollowcore with (2) - #5
continuous. When you look at the detail on sheet A-3.01, it appears that this is a 4" split face block.
Sheet A-2.01 which has the building elevations also does not show a band around the building at this
location. Please advise.

Team,
There is plenty of room to add the 1.625" split face shell to the edge as shown in the attached sketch and have a
minimum 4" bearing need for detail 3/S4.03. Detail 2/S4.03 is also ok to add the face shell. In either case there is no
need for an angle support. Please proceed with the response to RFI.

Juan/Luca-
Shortly, you'll receive an email from a website called "WeTransfer.com". Within that should be a link to download a
copy of the Conformed Drawings and Specifications for the Marathon Car Wash.
Attached is RFI-01.Once you download the drawings and specs, can you take a look at the attached RFI?
