02/12/2020 Task Order 02/12/2020TASK ORDER FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE LONG KEY TRANSFER,&&GXMI'�. In accordance with the Continuing Contract -for Professional Architectural and Engineeri Services, made and entered on December 19, 2018, between MONROE COUNTY, hereinaft referred to as the "County" and BEA ARCHITECTS, INC. hereinafter referred to "Consultant", where professional services are allowed for miscellaneous projects in w hil if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not e-Jxce Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00); hereinafter referred to as t "Agreement' ' the parties enter into this Task Order. This Task Order is effective on the Id day of firb&_A^ Z , 2020. WHEREAS, multiple buildings at the Long Key Transfer Station property were damaged during Hurricane Irma and require repairs to be made, and WHEREAS, the Consultant is qualified and able to perform engineering design services for the repairs to the Long Key Transfer Station. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the parties agree as follows: accordance with Article 11, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES, of the Agreement, the Consultant shall prepare bid and permit documents for repairs to the Long Key Transfer Station. Services shall include: a Perform structural assessment of buildings and provide recommendations for • Prepare demolition plans for removal and replacement of damaged structures. — • Prepare repair plans for existing open metal framed storage building, including replacement of damaged siding and roofing panels and coating of existing rigid frame structure. Provide replacement plans for damaged concrete electrical pole including relocation of electrical service. • Prepare plans for replacement of vertical siding and roof structure for seven (7) existing storage bays. • Prepare plans for repair of cracks and fractures in eight (8) concrete separation walls at storage bays. * Provide close-out documents including as -built drawings. 2. In accordance with Article VH, Paragraph 7.1.1, COMPENSATION, the County shall pay the Consultant a lump sum total of Forty -One Thousand Two Hundred Ninty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($41,297.00) paid on a percent complete basis for the following phases. a. Phase I (Due Diligence, Pre-Design/Engineering) - $8,925.00 upon site visit and approval by the Director of Project Management. b. Phase H (50% Construction Documents, Rough Cost Estimate) - $9,620.00 upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management. c. Phase III (100% Construction Documents, Permitting & Bid Assistance) - $13,400.00 upon document review and approval by the Director of Project Management. d. Phase IV (Construction Administration & Close -Out) - $7,790.00 upon completion of construction and approval by the Director of Project Management. e. Engineering Testing Services (two test borings & Geotechnical Report) - $1,562.00 upon review of geotechnical report and approval by the Director of Project Management. 3.
