Inner Islands' Collection Giannetti continues installing sewer lines on Cudjoe and System Summerland Keys. Line work complete on Upper Sugarloaf Key. Transmission work on US1 continues. Asphalt restoration including full road overlay and leveling course being applied on Cudjoe and Upper Sugarloaf Keys. Action: Complete Cudjoe Key work for interim substantial completion. Continue transmission system,pump stations and pavement restoration. 2. Advanced Wastewater Wharton-Smith anticipates startup of AWTF in March 2015 for Treatment Facility testing and preparation to receive flow.Tracer testing to be conducted by FIU staff prior to plant operation. Action: Complete electrical and instrument controls. Complete programming for system operations.Preparing for system testing and start-up. 3. Outer Islands' Collection Layne complete with collection system piping on Lower System Sugarloaf. Other collection system work on Little Torch, Ramrod and Big Pine Keys continues. Action: Continue transmission work along US1, collection system completions on Little Torch, Ramrod and Big Pine Keys.Asphalt overlay on Lower Sugarloaf 4. Public Information FKAA has sent letters to Big Pine Key for hook-up information and to provide project status and easement requests. Updates to Cudjoewastewater.com website ongoing. Action:Continue with public outreach, website updates and field meetings.Letters for grinder station easements sent to commercial properties approved by Monroe County. 5. On-Site Systems FDOH permitting underway for systems to be built on Big Torch and Big Pine Keys. Evaluation of LPS in certain areas to consider more central sewer connections Action:Improve permitting efforts to obtain smaller footprint systems. Initiate work with FWS to build EPA/DOH innovative system on federal property on Big Pine Key. 1JPage
