ITEM BACKGROUND: This task order number 6A provides a no-cost extension to task order no. 6 that authorized the redesign of the air curtain on Canal #266 on Witters Lane in Dr's Arm in Big Pine Key that was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. The replacement project is being submitted for reimbursement from FEMA. This task order 6A authorizes assistance in responding to FEMA's subsequent requests for additional information, which impacted the original schedule of completion of the task order and therefore the need for this time extension. Upon analysis, the plans will be revised to include the following components: 76 • Construction Plans—depicting site impacts, equipment layout, technical specifications and utilities. • Estimate of Construction Cost—The cost for the canal restoration will be refined throughout the design process and a detailed Engineer's Opinion of Probable Cost will be prepared and submitted with the construction documents. le The design plans and specifications will be submitted to the County for review and comment.
