DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL
This Change Order Request(COR) is submitted to obtain means of payment to the Contractor for services provided to assist the
Architect and Owner with the re-design of the Contract Security System for the Freeman Justice Center. These changes were needed
to: 1)Resolve incompatibility issues between the security components specified with the door hardware(Division 08)and the
comprehensive building security system specified in Division 16, and 2) Increase the scope of security as requested by the Monroe
County Judiciary and Sheriffs Department.
The cost of the additional work is based on the attached November 8,2005 Patrick Power Corporation Proposal, and the total value of
COR 119 is$23,822.23, including Contractor's mark-up for managing the work.
COR#9 only addresses the costs for the re-designing phase of the described security changes. The additional time for the re-designing
phase and the additional time and costs to implement these changes will be submitted under a separate COR.

RE: Change Orders
Attached is a proposed change order for The Tower Group, for the Freeman
Justice Center. (Change Order #9 is for $23,822.23 for corrections to the
contract documents and revisions to the Contract Security System as required by
the Monroe County Sheriff's Department)
According to the ordinance adopted by the Board of County Commissioners,
proposed change orders are to be presented to members of the Board of County
Commissioners prior to approval, assuming they are within the Administrator's
prescribed limits. Change orders not within the Administrator's authority are
placed on the BOCC agenda.
The Administrator intends to approve this change order on Monday, February 13,
2006.
