Resolution 151-2020 t t 3 > 5 TT 6 MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA 7 MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 8 RESOLUTION NO. 151 - 2020 9 10 A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY II COMMISSIONERS WAIVING APPROXIMATELY $192,381 IN 12 BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR A TOTAL OF 57 AFFORDABLE 13 EMPLOYEE HOUSING DWELLING UNITS COMPRISED OF 26 LOW 14 INCOME (80% OF MEDIAN) AND 31 MODERATE INCOME (120% OF 15 MEDIAN), OR BELOW, TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON A PARCEL 16 LOCATED AT 0 BETTY ROSE DRIVE ON ROCKLAND KEY HAVING 17 REAL ESTATE(RE)NUMBER 00121980-000600. 18 19 WHEREAS,on November 18,2009 the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners 20 ("Board") passed and adopted Ordinance 036-2009, allowing building permit fee waivers for 21 entities building low income housing leveraging state or federal funds, or affordable housing as 22 defined by state statutes; and 23 WHEREAS, on February 10, 2010, the Board passed and adopted Ordinance 004-2010, 24 allowing waivers for housing for households up to 120% of median income in Monroe County. 25 Housing exceeding 120% may also apply for a waiver if the specific project for development is 26 being subsidized with or is leveraging state or federal funding; and 27 WHEREAS, on May 8, 2020 Smith Hawks, PL, Agent for the Applicant Quarry Big 28 Coppitt, LTD submitted the Application for Building Permit Fee Waiver.
