63rd Street Government Center 1st Amendment FIRST AMENDMENT TO TASK ORDER FOR
PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE
MARATHON 63RD STREET GOVERNMENT ANNEX FLOOD PANEL MITIGATION
In accordance with the Continuing Contract for Professional Architectural and Engineering
Services, made and entered on December 19, 2018, between MONROE COUNTY, hereinafter
referred to as the "County" and M.C. HARRY AND ASSOCIATES, INC. hereinafter referred
to as "Consultant", where professional services are allowed for miscellaneous projects in which
construction costs do not exceed Two Million 00/100 Dollars($2,000,000.00.)or for study activity
if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed
Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00); hereinafter referred to as the
"Agreement" the parties enter into this First Amendment to the Task Order.
This First Amendment to the Task Order is effective on the 2+k day of ,Tu-ne ,_,2020.
WHEREAS, the Marathon 63"r Street Government Annex Building was damaged during
Hurricane Irma and requires hazard mitigation to prevent future damage,and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2020, the parties entered into a Task Order for architectural and
engineering services related to designing and installing flood panels on the Marathon Government
Annex Building; and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the design and installation of the flood panels to ensure they
meet all applicable building codes a new survey and elevation certificate are needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below,
the parties agree as follows:
1. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES, of the Agreement, the
Consultant will perform services as described below:
Consultant shall provide a Boundary & Topographic Survey and provide an Elevation
Certificate of the existing building. Survey shall locate all existing improvements on the
property including but not limited to structures,hard surfaces, fencing,walls,curbing,etc.
Survey shall locate all observed above ground utilities. Survey shall provide topographic
data/spot elevations on the property including the crown of the road elevations on the
adjacent roadways.
2. In accordance with Article VII, Paragraph 7.1.1,COMPENSATION,the County shall pay
the Consultant a lump sum total of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Eight and 50/100

Dollars(S6,858.50)paid upon receipt of the Survey and Elevation Certificate and approval
by the Director of Project Management.
3. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement and Task Order remain in full force and
effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, each party caused this First Amendment to the Task Order to be
executed by its duly authorized representative.
