FIRST AMENDMENT TO TASK ORDER FOR
PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY AND CPH, INC.
FOR
MONROE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING
ENVELOPE EVALUATION AND REPAIRS
In accordance with the Consultant Agreement for Professional Architectural and Engineering
Services, made and entered into on December 19, 2018, between MONROE COUNTY.
hereinafter referred to as the "County," and CPH, INC. hereinafter referred to as "Consultant,"
where professional services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed Two Million and
00/100 Dollars ($2,000,000.00), or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each
individual study under the contract does not exceed Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars
($200,000.00),hereinafter referred to as the"Agreement".
All terms and conditions of the Agreement apply to this Amendment to the Task Order,unless this
Amendment to the Task Order amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the
Agreement of which will be specifically referenced in this Amendment to the Task Order and the
amendment, addition, or modification shall be precisely described. These additions apply only to
the project referenced in this Amendment.
This Amendment is effective on the /Z.fh day of STtct 8 2020.
WHEREAS,the Monroe County Sheriffs Office Administration Building("Building")on Stock
Island was damaged in Hurricane Irma and has recently had a new roof and new windows installed,
and
WHEREAS, the Building is still experiencing water intrusion during rain events and the County
has asked the Consultant to perform a study and report on where the water is gaining entry into the
Building,and
WHEREAS, the parties executed a Task Order on February 24, 2020 whereby the Consultant
performed an inspection and provided reports on their findings.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the
parties agree as follows:
1. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Agreement the
Consultant will perform services as described below:
a. Phase III—Construction Drawings and Specifications

Consultant will prepare documents detailing specifications of the repair with the
intent of the documents to be solicited for proposals from contractors.
Deliverables for this phase will he a set of Construction drawings to be submitted
for pemiit review and bid by General Contractors. The following will be included
in this phase:
• Drawings,details and preparation for submittals.
• Remediation Specifications such as:
o Technical Specifications
o Remediation details as needed
o Scope of work
A draft set will be provided by the consultant for County's review and comments.
The final set will be provided upon formal approval by County.
2. In accordance with Article VII,paragraph 7.1.1 of the Agreement,the County shall pay the
Consultant a lump sum fee of Thirteen Thousand Three Hundred Twenty and 00/100
Dollars($13,320.00)paid on a percent complete basis for the following phases:
a. Phase III$13,320.00,to be paid on a percent complete of phase III scopes of work
as determined by County Department of Project Management.
All other Terms and Conditions of the Agreement and Task Order shall remain unchanged and in
full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, each party caused this Amendment to be executed by its duly
authorized representative.
