Approval of a resolution appointing the Senior Coordinator,
County Attorney's Office, as the County's Records Management Liaison Officer (RMLO) to serve as
a point of contact between the agency and the Division of Library and Information Services' records
management program; authorization of the County Administrator or his designee to sign all other
necessary documents.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Currently, the County Administrator serves as the Records Management
Liaison Officer (RMLO). The Employee Services Director reviews all requests for disposition
before being approved by the County Administrator. To improve efficiency, it is recommended that
all records dispositions only require one review and signature. It is recommended that this duty be

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE SENIOR COORDINATOR WITHIN
MANAGEMENT LIAISON OFFICER FOR MONROE COUNTY.
WHEREAS,
Monroe County is required by Section 257.36(5), Fla. Stat., to appoint a
records management liaison officer (RMLO); and
WHEREAS,
the RMLO serves as a point of contact with the State of Florida, Department
