ITEM BACKGROUND: Projects will be funded 900/o by FAA, with match from Operating.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Approval for the Mayor to execute Airport Grants from FAA
and FDOT as received in order to meet deadlines, with ratification at next BOCC meeting, Item C-2, 5-19-2010.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: This amendment revises the grant description to clarify project
scope, by removing funds from the deleted work item (Update Airport Master Plan Study) into another eligible
work item Rehabilitate Terminal Building, (Customs Facility Expansion). This amendment does not alter the
grant amount in any way.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 3-12-0037-047-
2013
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA")
has determined it to be in the interest of the United States that the Grant Agreement
between the FAA, acting for, and on behalf of the United States, and the Monroe
County Board of County Commissioners (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor"),
accepted by said Sponsor on the 21 st day of August, 2013 be amended as hereinafter
provided:
NOW THEREFORE, WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the FAA on behalf
of the United States, on the one part, and the Sponsor on the other part, do hereby
mutually agree as follows:
Delete "Update Airport Master Plan Study".
The correct project description is: Improve Airport Access Road; Improve
Runway 27 Area (EMAS—Phase 1); Acquire Land for Runway 27
Approach Area; Improve Airport Drainage (Phase 1); and Rehabilitate
Terminal Building (Customs Facility).
It is understood and agreed that all of the other terms and conditions of the Grant
Agreement remain in full force and effect and are not changed except as hereinabove
provided.
The United States shall not be obligated under any provision hereof unless this
Amendment has been accepted by the Sponsor on or before February 8, 2014 or such
subsequent date as may be prescribed in writing by the FAA.
