FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY AND BENDER& ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, P.A.
FOR KEY WEST LIGHTHOUSE GIFT SHOP ROOF REPAIR
In accordance with the Agreement for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services, made
and entered into on December 19, 2018 between MONROE COUNTY, ("County") and
BENDER & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, P.A., ("Consultant" or Bender"), where
professional services are allowed if construction costs do not exceed $2,000,000.00, or for study
activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not
exceed $200,000.00("Agreement"), the parties enter into this Task Order.
All terms and conditions of the Agreement apply to this Task Order, unless this Task Order
amends, adds, or modifies a provision or an Article of the Agreement of which will be specifically
referenced in this Task Order and the amendment, addition, or modification shall be precisely
described. These additions apply only to the project referenced in this Task Order.
This Task Order is effective on the 21 of i ,IX.b Vc) 2020.
WHEREAS, the Key West Lighthouse Gift Shop Roof and Keeper's Quarters Roof were recently
repaired after sustaining damage during Hurricane Irma, and
WHEREAS, the County received a grant from the State of Florida, Division of Historical
Resources(DHR) which requires updating the National Register of Historic Places.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the
parties agree as follows:
I. In accordance with Article II, SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES of the Agreement,the
Consultant will coordinate and provide a National Register of Historic Places update for
the Key West Lighthouse per the requirements of the DHR grant.
Consultant shall:
• Review the original National Register nomination and any additional information
relating to the property contained in the Florida Master Site File.
• Prepare National Register update narrative, including a chronology of any changes or
alterations to the property since its original listing in the National Register, with
special emphasis on damages caused by Hurricane Irma and the subsequent repair of
those damages; assemble relevant photos in TIFF format for submission according to
the National Register Photo Policy prepare photo log and map key; assemble
architectural drawings for inclusion with the National Register update.

• Support and coordinate with other team members, as well as DHR. Respond to any
requested edits required by DHR.
2. In accordance with Article V I I paragraph 7.1.1 of the Agreement,the County shall pay
the Consultant a lump sum total of Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Twelve and 00/100
dollars($9,712.00) paid on a percent complete basis for the following phases:
a. Draft National Register Update - $4,856.00, upon document review and approval
by the Director of Project Management.
b. Final Completed National Register Update - $4,856.00, upon document review
and approval by the Director of Project Management
All other Terms and Conditions of the Agreement remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,each party caused this Task Order to be executed by its duly authorized
representative.
