Increased public awareness is necessary so that individuals are better able to recognize symptoms and understand available resources and options. NOW, THEREFORE, I Heather Carruthers, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor do CL hereby proclaim October 2020 as AVM AWARENESS MONTH In Monroe County and encourage all citizens to raise awareness of Aneurysms and AVMs and support efforts being made to help those affected by these brain conditions.
