AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Agreement with Baker & Taylor for the Monroe County Library
System to access and use Axis360 digital media circulation system to provide access to eContent
purchased through and licensed by Baker & Taylor. The agreement is for three years and Baker &
Taylor has waived all usage fees.
ITEM BACKGROUND: As we continue our advancement into a 21" Century library system and
as a result of increased demand due to COVID-19 on our digital resources, the Monroe County
Library System provides an increasing amount of digital content as a complement to our traditional
print monographs. Similar to Overdrive and Libby, Axis 360 is a cloud-based delivery system for
digital content. The Axis360 platform is proprietary to Baker & Taylor, Monroe County Library
System's primary library material provider. This agreement will allow the Monroe County Library
System patrons access to Axis360 and any digital eContent purchased by the Library System through
its purchasing agreements with Baker& Taylor
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
