Resolution 011-1960 4 RESOLUTION NO. II -1960 - Secondary Roads WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, has previously authorized the construction of a causeway from Spanish Harbor Key to No Name Key, Monroe County, Florida, designated as Project No. 90530-1602, Monroe County, and WHEREAS, by letter dated February 1st, 1960, the Florida State Road Department informed Mr. Winston Carlton, District Engineer, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that they were restricted from constructing a bridge in excess of twenty-five (25} feet in length in this causeway, and WHEREAS, a minimum clear width of bridge of two hundred fifty (250) feet was recommended, making allowance for the obstruction of pile bents and end slopes an over-all bridge length of about three hundred twenty (320) feet would be required, and WHEREAS, said recommendation was referred back to said Board for revision of its original Resolution authorizing said construction, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the restriction of bridge length pre- viously authorized in Project No. 90530-1602, Monroe County Causeway from Spanish Harbor Key to No Name Key, Monroe County, Florida, be and the same is hereby removed and the Florida State Road Department is hereby authorized to construct in said project a bridge with an over-all length of about three hundred twenty (320) feet as suggested in the above referred-to letter. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of said Board be and he is hereby directed to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the Florida State Road Department for appropriate action.
