Resolution 017-1960 RESOLUTION NO. 17 -1960 - Secondary Roads WHEREAS, the recent hurricane damaged the causeway and approaches to the bridge on the secondary road leading from U. S. Highway No. 1 to the City of Key Colony Beach, Monroe County, Florida, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, has deemed it to be such an emergency that it is necessary to make immediate repairs to said causeway and bridge approaches in order that the public roads on Key Colony Beach may be cleared of debris, and WHEREAS, due to the emergency it is deemed necessary to make said repairs without delay, and WHEREAS, said Board desires to pay for said repairs out of Monroe County, Florida, Secondary Roads Funds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the repairs to the causeway and bridge approaches on the secondary road leading from U. S. Highway No. 1 to the City of Key Colony Beach, Monroe County, Florida, be and the same are hereby authorized and that the State Road Department be and it is here- by authorized to pay for said repairs in an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00) out of Monroe County, Florida, Secondary Road Funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the State Road Department of Florida for appropriate action.
