RESOLUTION N0. 18 -1960 - Secondary Roads
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated September 16, 1960,
the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida
authorized the State Road Department of Florida to allocate
and expend the sum of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00)
out of Monroe County State Road funds to rehabilitate and
clean roads and rights-of-way rendered impassable by the
recent hurricane, and
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement
Fund of the State of Florida have advanced Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000.00) to Monroe County, Florida, which said
sum is to be reimbursed out of Monroe County State Road funds,
and
WHEREAS, the said Board needs an additional
Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) with which to com-
plete the clean-up program, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED NY TEE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OP-MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State Road Department
be, and it is hereby authorised to allocate and expend, in
addition to the Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00)
previously authorised by the above referred-to Resolution, an
additional sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00),
out of Monroe County State Road Funds for the rehabilitation
and cleaning of County roads and rights-of-way in Monroe County,
Florida, and to immediately take action to accomplish the
clearing of said roads and rights-of-way, making a total of
One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) authorised for
said purposes.
PR IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of said Board
be and he is hereby directed to forward certified copies of
this Resolution to the State Road Department of the State of
Florida for appropriate action.
