Miller, CGCO23830, to one additional three-year term to the Contractors' Examining Board (CEB) beginning April 19, 2021 through April 19, 2024 as the first alternate voting member. ITEM BACKGROUND: The Contractors' Examining Board (CEB)voted unanimously to recommend the re-appointment of Mr. Charles E. Miller, CGCO23830, to the CEB at the January 5, 2021 meeting. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Mr. Miller was appointed to the Board on October 1996 to one (1)three-year(3) term ending October 1999, and then re-appointed by BOCC to a second consecutive one (1)three-year(3) term on October 1999 and ending October 2002. Per MCC Sec 6-85.(a), he was no longer able to serve a third consecutive one (1)three-year (3) term. Mr. Miller was then appointed to one (1)three-year (3) term beginning January 18, 2006 and ending January 18, 2009 as the second alternate voting member. On December 17, 2008, the BOCC re- appointed Mr. Miller to one (1) additional three-year(3) term beginning January 1, 2009 and ending January 1, 2012. On March 21, 2012, the BOCC re-appointed Mr. Miller to one (1)three-year(3) term ending March 21, 2015. On April 15 the BOCC re-appointed Mr. Miller to one (1)three-year (3)term ending April 15, 2018. On April 19, 2018 the BOCC re-appointed Mr. Miller to one (1) three-year (3)term ending April 19, 2021. *On March 21, 2007, the BOCC approved advertising the amendment to MCC Section 6-85 repealing term limits for members for the CEB. The ordinance was amended effective May 2, 2007 removing term limitations.
