ITEM BACKGROUND: The City of Marathon leases a parcel at the Florida Keys Marathon Airport
on which the Little Venice Wastewater Treatment Facility is located. This easement is needed for the
relocation of electrical transformers used in conjunction with the current expansion of the treatment
facility. The term of the easement will be concurrent with the lease for the treatment facility; there are
approximately nine (9) years remaining on the existing lease.
