Resolution 117-2021 2 3 4 5 6 7 MONROE COUNTY,FLORIDA 8 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 9 RESOLUTION NO. 117 -2021 10 11 A RESOLUTION BY THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF 12 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ("MONROE COUNTY, 13 FLORIDA" or "MONROE COUNTY") APPROVING THE 14 PRIORITIZATION OF THE 2021 TRANSPORTATION 15 ALTERNATIVES APPLICATION(S) RECEIVED BY MONROE 16 COUNTY. 17 18 19 WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") opened the 2021 20 Transportation Alternatives ("TA) program and announced the application cycle on January 66, 21 2021; and 22 --- WHEREAS, the Transportation Alternatives grant program provides federal funding 24 available for non-motorized transportation and is administered by the FDOT; and 25 26 WHEREAS, the FDOT requires local priority rankings be approved by the Monroe 27 County Board of County Commissioners ("Monroe County, Florida" or "Monroe County") as 28 part of the application process; and 29 30 WHEREAS, only one application was submitted for consideration for funding by the 31 FDOT: Reynolds Street Pier Structural Upgrades, requesting $568,436.00; submitted by Monroe 32 County; and 33 34 WHEREAS, a committee consisting of representatives from Monroe County evaluated 35 the application based on the FDOT's required criteria; and 36 37 WHEREAS, the score of the 2021 application is based on a 100-point scale, and 38 Reynolds Street Pier Structural Upgrades received an overall average score of 53.3; and 39 40 WHEREAS, at a public hearing, the Monroe County considered public comment(s) 41 from any and all persons wishing to offer public comment on the matter; and 42 43 WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, fully supports the above-referenced funding of 44 the application; 45 46 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY 47 COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,FLORIDA: 48 Page 1 of 2 1 I.
