ITEM BACKGROUND:
Gonzalez Architects is providing the architectural services for the renovation of the Lester Building, Old
Courthouse, Judicial Building, and the Annex Building. The Board of County Commissioners requested
that the architect provide them with periodic updates on the status of work at Jackson Square.

RE: Jackson Square - Status of projects
Dear Mr. Piazza:
The status of the various projects at the Jackson Square site are as
follQWS:
NEW JUDICIAL BUllDING - this project is on hold until we meet
once again with the judges to determine what revisions are necessary. to
meet their needs. As per our last meeting in February, Judge Miller '.
was to meet with each judge and review their concerns. We have not
been notified they are ready to schedule a meeting to discuss the
Ch~"ges necessary.
CHILLED WATER SYSTEM - bid packages opened on March 15th
and are CUITently'being reviewed by Gonzalez Architects.
OID COURTIlOUSE - Gonzalez Architects is researching the options
for interim space conditioningt i.e. temporary HV AC, to allow
completion of building without delay. An RFP is being generated to
remove a portion of the site work: that will conflict with the Chilled
Water System installation.
