AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to enter into a Lease Agreement with Cayo Hueso Parking,
Inc., and authorization for Mayor to execute same.
ITEM BACKGROUND: To help alleviate the parking problems at Jackson Square, Cayo Hueso
Parking, Inc. will lease 20 parking spaces located at 416 Southard, Street, for $10.00 per space/per day,
(plus sales tax if applicable) Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The lease is on trial
basis commencing from date of approval and terminating on September 30, 2000, Monroe County's fiscal
year end. Facilities Maintenance will absorb this cost for the remainder of fiscal year 2000, and will
amend the proposed budget for ,fiscal year 2001 in the event lease requires extending, based on
construction progress at Jackson Square.
