AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to enter into a grant agreement with the Federal Emergency
Managcment Agency (FEMA) for un met needs at the Florida Keys Marina, Marathon, more particularly,
replacement of the roof and installation of a generator, and authorization for Mayor to execute same.
ITEM BACKGROUND: An application was submitted to FEMA indicating the need for an upgraded
roof and generator so that our marina can be better used during hurricane recovery. It could serve the
needs of the community in Boot Key Harbor. The project cost is $130,000 with FEMA paying 75%
($97,500), thc statc paying 12.5% ($16,250) and the County paying 12.5%.
