RESOLUTION NO. -2000
A RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION
OF THE LATE DAVID RICHARD PARK
WHEREAS, David Richard Park, passed away at Jackson Memorial
Hospital in Miami on Sunday, August 27,2000; and
WHEREAS, David Richard Park, known to his friends as "Toad", was born
in Key West on June 2, 1961, and was the son of Charles I. Park, Jr. and Faye R.
Park; and
WHEREAS, David Richard Park, was the manager of Che Che's bar until it
was sold. The bar was established by his grandfather in 1934 and was owned by
the family for 67 years; and
WHEREAS, David Richard Park was a member of the Moose Lodge; and
WHEREAS, David Richard Park leaves his father, Charl$s I. Park," Jr.,. and .,
his mother, Faye Rose Park, both of Key.West;his lo~ing.wife, Darlene Park; two
step-daughters, Michelle Gates and T~nia Vazquez, both of Ke.y West; three
brothers and their wives; Clifton and SuzyPark, of Ft. ,Pierce, Gre.g and BeBe
Park, and John Park, all of Key West; two sisters, Deborah and her husband. John
Hart, and Cecilia Gordon, all of Jacksonville; nieces, Michelle and Taylor Paige
Park, of Key West, and Hanna Rose Gay, of. Jacksonville; two. nephews, Jason
Hart, of New York, and Kevin Hart, of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren; now,
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as evidence of its
regret and mourning for the passing of the late David Richard Park.
Section 2. Mayor Emeritus Harvey forwards a copy of this Resolution to
his and family to express the Board's sorrow.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the day of
October, 2000.
