STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval of award of bid to Ace, and approval for Mayor to execute upon review by County
Attorney. Approval for Overseas to continue services on a month to month basis.

JANITORIAL SERVICES SPECIFICA nONS
To provide janitorial services at the Key West International Airport terminal,
3491 S. Roosevelt Blvd., Key West, FL 33040, for all public areas of the terminal
building, except airline and rental car counters and office space, U. S. Customs area and
the Conch Flyer restaurant Lounge. Work shall consist of two distinct areas of
responsibility; regular janitorial services and floor maintenance.
All employees or subcontractors of the Contractor who are not citizens of the
United States must have and possess documented authorization to work in the United
States issued by the Government of the United States. Failure of such persons to have
and possess such documentation is a material breach of the contract and will entitle
Monroe County to tennmate the contract for cause. The arrest, detention or taking into
custody of any of the Contractor's employees or subcontractors by the U. S. Immigration
and Naturalization Service constitutes sufficient evidence under this contract that the
Contractor has committed a material breach and entitles Monroe County to terminate this
contract for cause.
It is expected that the contract will be for labor and equipment only. The airport
will provide the necessary materials.

Weekly,
- Clean all glass windows and glass sliding glass doors.
Daily inside.
- Check I It floor bathrooms at least every 30 minutes. Clean toilets, urinals,
sinks, countertops, and floors. Pick up trash and other debris.
- Empty and clean, as necessary, all trash cans (Ist floor) and take all trash to the
dumpster. Additionally, on weekends and holidays, empty and clean, as necessary, all
trash cans at the Greyhound bus station and National Weather Service office and take all .
trash to the dumpster.
- Pickup trash, newspapers, periodicals, and other debris in the terminal building.
- Sweep and mop floors (main terminal building, 1 It floor).
- Spot clean floor smudges as necessary.
- Wipe off and clean departure lounge furniture and glass as needed~ but at least
twice each day.
Daily outside.
- Empty and clean all trash cans on sidewalk and parking lot. Take all trash to
the dumpster.
- Empty ash stands.
- Pick-up litter.
- Sweep and clean up walkways and curbs.
- Wipe off benches, mailboxes, etc.
Hours to be worked.
- Monday through Thursday: 5:00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. (8 hours per day).
- Friday: 5:00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to 1 :00 a.m. (11 hours per day).
- Weekends and holidays: 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 am. (20 hours per day).
ScoDe of services for floor maintenance shall consist of:
Nightlv routine.
- Pickup trash, newspapers, periodicals, and other debris in the terminal building.
- Strip and wax all terminal floor areas at least once every two weeks.
- Mop and buff terminal floor areas every night.
- Spot clean and wax floors as needed.
- Clean and shampoo carpet areas of the departure lounge as needed.
Hours to be worked.
- Sunday night/Monday morning through Thursday night/Friday morning: 10:
p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (8 hours per day).
