District 2 Mayor Pro tern Nora Williams, District 4 Charles McCoy, District 3 Mu~ Nelson, District 5 Dixie Spehar, District 1 O.'!~3~~E (305)294-<1641 MEMORANDUM FROM: James Roberts, County Administrator 11l/~V;' Suzanne A. Hutton, Assistant County Attorney 'fr(~ TO: DATE: December 19,2000 RE: Contractor Examining Board Appointment. Please be advised that an appointment needs to be made to the Contractors Examining Board for a member of the general public from the Lower Keys. The person who was appointed to that post has never shown up for any of the contractors board meetings and the County Code provides for the disqualification of a board member after four absences in a year or three consecutive absences. I had thought that the reason an appointment had not been made was because the Contractors Board was having trouble finding an appropriate person to recommend. However, I have now been advised that the BOCe is making appointments without such a recommendation. Accordingly, I am requesting that you arrange for an appointment to that post as soon as possible. t Thank you for your attention to this matter. SAH/ak Greg Sullivan 1136 Calle Ensenada Marathon Fl. 33050 743-4420 December 26, 2000 Jim Roberts County Administrator 5100 College Road Key West Fl. 33040 Dear Jim, I am contacting you reference the Contractor Board. I was asked to be on the board back in May 99. Unfortunately the first few meetings were canceled, in addition I was unable to get the information packages to review agenda items. I was remiss in not aggressively perusing the meetings and was asked by Larry Thompson in early 2000 if! would accept him replacing my position. I just learned that he did not take the position, I apologize for any misunderstanding and if the position were still available I would be glad to serve our community. Please contact me if you have any questions, thank you for your time in this matter.
