Approval of a Resolution authorizing Monroe County to enter into Equipment (Fire Truck) Leases and
authorizing the Mayor to execute Lease Purchase Agreement with Banc One Leasing Corporation in the amount
of $923,054.00, and approval of execution of Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. contract in support of the Lease
Purchase Agreement.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
At their December 13, 2000 meeting, the Board granted approval and authorized execution of a Lease Purchase
Agreement between Monroe County and Banc One in the total amount of $923,054.00 to purchase three fire
trucks through the piggy-backing bid of Lake County, Florida. The attached Resolution authorizes Monroe
County to enter into the equipment leases and authorizes the Mayor to execute the lease-purchase agreement. In
addition, Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., the truck manufacturer, requires execution of a contract to secure pricing.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
On November 21,2000, Board approved the purchase of three trucks through "piggy-backing" bid of another
organization which meets our budget and specification; waive policies and procedures; and authorize said
purchase through the County Administrator; also, see above Item Background.

Automotive Fire ApparatuS as published at the time of contract signing, except as modified by customer spccificatioos. Any
increased costS incurred by fim: party because of future ch2nges in or additions to said DOT or NFPA Standard.. will be
passed along to the custOmer as an addition to the price set furth below.
Fourth. The said apparatus and equipment shall be ready for delivery from Appleton,
Wisconsin, within about 210-240 days after the receipt and acceptance of this contrllet at
the first party's office at AppletQn, Wisconsin, delays due to Strikes, failures to obuin chassis, materials. or other causes

RE: Lake County Fire Apparatus Contract
Attached is the complete Lake County Contract No. 99-150 which permits Lake
County, FL to purchase various specified and unspecitied apparatus per the pricing
structure bid on June 24, 1999. This contract is renewable for up to five (5) years.
See attached pages 1 of 9 for conditions attached. The formula is 4% over dealer
cost on the base vehicle and 10% on vehicle options and equipment per page 1 of the
Lake County Bid Sheet. This contract applies to the complete line of Pierce
apparatus. We are willing to extend the same terms and condition per Lake County
Bid 99-150.
All handling, transportation, and delivery costs would be included in the base
vehicle cost from Pierce Manufacturing Inc.
We could also provide prices paid on similar units by other municipalities as
additional price justification. The following municipalities have accessed this
contract for various models of Pierce tire apparatus.
