City of Key West, per their request on attached letter of February 26th, 2001.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
1. Unit ID#0940/255 previously approved to be advertised for bids is temporarily on hold pending
Board action regarding request.
2. Unit ID#0940/251 previously advertised and awarded to the highest bidder, scheduled to be
paid for and picked up after sending written notice to bidder advising of deadline to complete
transaction.
3. Unit ID#3200/035 previously advertised and awarded to highest bidder, but was never paid for or
picked up after high bidder was notified of deadline to complete transaction.

CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: None
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval to transfer (2) two vehicles, Unit ID#0940/255 and Unit
ID#3200/035 to the City of Key West. Recommendations regarding third vehicle Unit ID#0940/251 to
come at the April Board meeting, should vehicle in question not be picked up within written deadline of
March 9th, 2001.

On behalf of the City of Key West Department of Transportation, which includes the Fleet
Service division, this letter serves as an official request to have title and ownership transfer
initiated on the following surplus vehicles current listed on your inventory deletion request of
01/25/01 :

0940/255 1990 Chevrolet 3500 Crew cab truck
0940/2511990 Chevrolet 2500 Crew cab truck
3200/035 1989 Chevrolet 3500 Dump truck
I understand that there is..a process of transfer from one government entity to another, which
mayor may not involve a 'fee, and that.is fine. We do appreciate the opportunity to obtain
vehicles that can be used in our fleet as an interim program of pooled vehicles while we
actively implement a five (5) year or 60,00Q-mile replacement/lease/purchase program.
Please advise if there is anything else that I may do on my end to facilitate the title and
transfer of these vehicles. Also, as an alternate contact person, please speak with Mr. Don
Cormack. Fleet Services Specialist, at 293-6427, as he is aware of this request.
