The Chamber has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Board of County
Commissioners. We take pride in serving our community and appreciate the
continued support we receive from our county government in your efforts to
support our mission.
The Chamber respectfully requests that the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners renew the lease agreement with the Chamber under the same
terms and conditions of the current lease.
The Lower Keys Chamber has taken excellent care of the property as it
represents our community image to visitors and newcomers in our community. In
1995 we erected a new visitor's center on the site. The Chamber grounds have
been utilized by other non-profit and charitable organizations to hold their various
fund raising events, for example Habitat for Humanity and the Big Pine & Lower
Keys Rotary.
I am confident that the Board of County Commissioners will renew the lease and
continue their long established relationship with the Lower Keys Chamber.
