Item M2 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY MEETING DATE: MAY t6, 2001 BULK ITEM: YES DIVISION: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR DEPARTMENT: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval for the County Administrator to execute Letters of Agreement prior to each Certified Public Manager Course Level for the Certified Public Manager (CPM) Course conceptually approved by the Board of County Commissioners. ITEM BACKGROUND: At the meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in February, 2001, the Board conceptually approved the establishment of a Certified Public Manager Program that will provide Monroe County employees with the Certified Public Manager professional designation. The program is run by the State of Florida and has proved successful in many areas around the State. As a result of the conceptual approval, the Level 1 program is scheduled for the week of May 22 - 25, 2001. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Conceptual approval to enter into an Agreement in February, 2001. Approval of Letter of Agreement for Level 1 in March, 2001.
