Our Directors proposed this idea to Commissioner Nelson at our January "breakfast with the commissioners". Commissioner Nelson assured us he was interested in taking this idea forward and we totally support his current efforts in this regard. Commissioner Nelson's proposal to place county offices and services together in one county owned Key Largo location will most assuredly save taxpayers money. Utilizing an additional boat ramp in the Upper Keys will add fees collected to the county budget as well as take some of the pressure off of the very overcrowded Harry Harris County Park in Tavernier. More importantly, having a location in Key Largo for community events, festivals and cultural productions will be of great benefit to all members of our community. Thank your for your consideration. '. Respectfully, Karen Tiedemann, President for the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors rpj ilk {,.t+t- 0„ C Qpt2o > a t iti c\'\. t e' t( E tJ. _O @ tag 6' { . , ,: • CL o q a. " . • •i t ... x G ebb t o t i;`Ln CAZ 1-14 entelyr` 4 1 1 t tL j 4 ,L e .C- t t, c aJ ai1. This parcel, known as the Blue Lagoon, is located at MM 99.5 bayside. It is approximately 3.6 acres in size. This breaks down to an average per acre price of $638,888.00. The Rowell's location based on ten acres is only $600,000 per acre. As land values in Key Largo continue to climb every year, it is prudent and visionary for the BOCC to instruct staff to begin the process ofla purchasing this property for the benefit of all of the residents and visitors of the Florida Keys.
