Those seats are as follows: Community Based Oraanization (1) (CBO) definition - Non Profit Agency, Provides Job Training Placement, to hard to Serve Individuals and the targeted population is dislocated workers and people with disabilities. In Monroe County the only agency that meets the criteria is the Florida Keys Employment and Training Center(FKETC). Dr. Bruce Waite, CEO of FKETC serves as the CBO representative to the JEP Board. Oraanized labor (1) definition - AFl-CIO is the organized labor union representing Monroe County. Mike Ozegovich, the AFL-CIO representative serves as the Organized labor Representative from Monroe County on the JEP Board. Public Education (2) - The two Representatives for Monroe County are Dr. William Seeker, President FKCC and Mike lannon, Superintendent, Monroe County School Board. Private Sector (1) - Non-Governmental Businesses, Gail Killion, HR Director, Key West Hyatt currently serves as the private JEP Board Representative. This appointment could Page 1 come from any segment of the private sector when her term ends 6/30/01. Local Elected Officials,:(LEO'slill- James E. Malloch, Community Services Division Director currently serves as the Monroe County LEO Representative per the County Administrator and the BOCC representing the Monroe County Governmental interests. Per the embedded matrix from the JEP Manual, we do not have much discretion on who we appoint and approve to represent Monroe County based on the JEP Board requirements. The private sector representative is the only one we have some discretion on for the appointment to the JEP Board.
